About this role
Dangote Industries Limited—one of Africa’s largest diversified industrial conglomerates—is recruiting an Inventory Officer for its cement manufacturing operations at the Gboko Plant in Benue State. This full-time position focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, leading stock audits, tracking material requirements for spares and production consumables, resolving inventory discrepancies, and managing SAP-integrated inventory controls.
Key Responsibilities-
Inventory Control & Real-Time Tracking: Oversee and audit inventory transactions to ensure immediate posting, accurate record-keeping, and operational policy compliance.

Discrepancy Resolution & Reconciliation: Investigate stock variances and root causes, implement corrective measures, and liaise with user departments to reconcile critical and insurance spare parts.

Material Requirement Planning (MRP): Track inventory metrics (turnover rates, stock levels, excess/obsolete stock) and monitor MRP for plant spare parts and production consumables to justify reordering.

Risk Identification & Reporting: Flag irregularities in stock balances to the Head of Stores, develop preventive risk mitigation plans, and lead total inventory audits.

Education: B.Sc. or HND in Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Engineering, or Accounting.

Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.

ERP & Software Skills: Working knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) is an added advantage; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory valuation techniques required.

Core Competencies: Inventory control and stock handling principles, analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and cross-departmental coordination.
