Data Analyst

Marquise Energy—an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services firm operating across Nigeria's energy sector—is recruiting a Data Analyst to support operations in Delta, Lagos, and Rivers States. This analytical position processes operational, project management, HSE (Health, Safety, Environment), procurement, and commercial data across oilfield services and industrial engineering projects to generate actionable business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & HSE Analytics: Analyze data from oilfield operations, maintenance schedules, fabrication, well services, procurement, and HSE incident reporting.

• Dashboard Development & Reporting: Build and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones for executive management.

• Data Cleansing & Modeling: Utilize Microsoft Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas) and SQL databases to clean, aggregate, and model complex operational datasets.

• Business Intelligence: Translate complex engineering, commercial, and logistics data into clear insights to optimize project delivery and minimize operational risk.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Technical Stack: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, Power BI dashboard development, and working knowledge of SQL (added advantage).

• Industry Domain Exposure: Hands-on experience analyzing data generated from oil & gas field operations, industrial engineering, procurement, or EPC project management.

• Core Competencies: Data visualization, analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and operational reporting.
