About this role
Afripoint Group—a technology solutions provider specializing in digital product development—is recruiting a DevOps Intern for its Technology Department in Lagos State. This entry-level technology internship provides hands-on practical exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, containerization, server automation, and system reliability monitoring under senior engineering mentorship.
Key Responsibilities

Deployment & CI/CD Support: Assist senior engineers with application deployments and help maintain automated CI/CD build pipelines using version-control tools like Git/GitHub.

Infrastructure & Cloud Administration: Learn and support cloud infrastructure management, server backups, development environment setups, and system health monitoring.

System Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Help resolve deployment bottlenecks, monitor server performance metrics, and log system configuration changes.

Technical Documentation: Draft deployment procedures, maintain architectural logs, and collaborate with software developers on build requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications

Academic Background: Currently studying or recently graduated with a degree (B.Sc. / HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Technical Exposure: Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments, computer networking, Git version control, and cloud computing principles.

Preferred Toolset (Plus): Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bash/Python scripting is an added advantage.

Core Competencies: Analytical problem-solving, strong drive to learn cloud/automation tech, clear documentation skills, and team collaboration.
