About this role
Whot Studios Limited—a Nigerian mobile gaming studio behind the cash-reward card game Whot Africa—is recruiting a Content and Community Lead for its digital operations team in Abuja (FCT) or Lagos. Reporting to the Growth & Brand Director, this role combines short-form video production, on-camera hosting, social media management, Telegram/WhatsApp player community building, and trend forecasting to scale player retention and product adoption across Africa.
Key Responsibilities

Video Production & On-Camera Talent: Script, shoot, host, and edit short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts); appear on-camera as the brand's personality for tournament coverage and gaming news.

Community Growth & Management: Oversee player groups across Telegram, WhatsApp, and social channels; run interactive polls, game tournaments, user showcases, and address feedback.

Social Strategy & Trend Jacking: Build monthly content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube; capitalize on viral memes, trending audio, and pop culture moments.

Post-Production & Analytics: Execute video editing (transitions, motion graphics, audio grading, captions) using CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve; analyze funnel engagement metrics to optimize reach.

Mandatory Prerequisites: B.Sc. + 4+ years content experience + verified portfolio + experience managing active Telegram/WhatsApp communities.

Technical Editing Suite: Advanced proficiency in desktop/mobile video editing software, basic graphics tools (Canva, Photoshop), and social media analytics suites.

Core Competencies: On-camera confidence, viral hook copywriting, trend awareness, player engagement strategies, and independent project execution.
