About this role
Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited is seeking high-performing, experienced and skilled Operations & Maintenance Technicians to execute safe, efficient and reliable production operations and first-line maintenance activities on wells, facilities, equipment and associated systems. The nature of the role is individual contributor, on a field-based rotational assignment (21 days on / 21 days off or similar) across applicable onshore, swamp or offshore production locations. All activities are performed in accordance with approved company procedures, regulatory requirements and Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) standards.
Responsibilities- Execute safe, efficient and reliable production operations and first-line maintenance on wells, facilities, equipment and associated systems.
- Measure, validate and accurately report production volumes, collecting required samples for analysis.
- Diagnose and respond appropriately to plant and facility upsets, implementing approved corrective actions to restore safe and stable operations.
- Interpret and apply technical drawings, schematics, manuals, classification drawings, instrument loop drawings and other relevant technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance activities, equipment condition, faults, repairs, inspections and materials used.
- Safely operate and maintain tools, test equipment and workshop equipment, supporting the availability of required spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Promptly report equipment defects, unsafe conditions, incidents and operational risks, taking appropriate action within the limits of assigned authority.
- OND/ND, Full Technological Certificate (FTC), Advanced Technical Diploma, relevant trade qualification or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics, Applied Sciences or another relevant technical discipline.
- Relevant technical certification or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in technical maintenance, field operations and/or control room operations within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas or similar operating environment.
