Accountant

Westcare Specialist Hospital—a multidisciplinary healthcare organization providing quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare services—is recruiting an Accountant in Ejigbo, Lagos. This role oversees core healthcare financial accounting, managing financial records, bank reconciliations, payroll preparation, expense tracking, and statutory tax remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT).

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Records & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date accounting records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Cash Flow & Reconciliations: Monitor expenses, receivables, payables, and cash flow while conducting regular bank and cash balance reconciliations.

• Document Verification & Payroll: Review invoices, payment requests, and receipts for accuracy, and oversee routine payroll preparation.

• Tax Management & Remittance: Manage and execute timely remittances for PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and other statutory tax obligations.

Requirements

• Core Competencies: B.Sc. Degree in Accounting or related field; strong background in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, payroll management, and Nigerian tax regulations.

• Behavioral Attributes: High numerical accuracy, attention to detail, ethical integrity, and commitment to healthcare financial standards. (Preference given to candidates residing in/near Ejigbo, Lagos).
