About this role
Starks Associates is a non-bank financial institution building treasury and payments infrastructure for businesses across Africa and international markets. As the organisation expands, it is hiring an experienced, commercially astute Financial Controller to join the leadership team
The role suits professionals who bring more than technical accounting expertise: people who understand financial strategy, institutional governance, treasury operations, and the complexities of managing a growing, multi-jurisdictional business
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a finance management or leadership role
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities
- Experience in treasury, liquidity management, and multi-currency operations
- Expertise in financial controls, regulatory compliance, and IFRS
- Experience managing finance functions across multiple entities or jurisdictions
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent
- A track record of building systems, leading teams, and driving financial discipline
