About this role
Startbutton is a Merchant of Record (MoR) platform that helps businesses expand and transact across Africa. We enable merchants to operate in multiple countries, collect payments in local currency, and stay compliant with regulatory requirements. We are hiring a Content Marketer to be the voice of Startbutton and build trust with our audience through high-value content that educates, inspires, and converts
Job Details
- Location: Lagos, Nigeria (hybrid)
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Focus: Insight-driven content and multi-channel distribution, including short-form video
Compensation
NGN 400,000 - 600,000 monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, insight-driven content that builds trust with merchants and partners
- Turn ideas into strong social distribution across LinkedIn, X, and Instagram
- Translate content into simple formats, including short-form video
- Work closely with the marketing team to shape and protect the Startbutton voice
- Create high-value content that educates, inspires, and converts
Requirements
- Proven experience creating and publishing content
- Ability to think, write, and distribute across formats with minimal supervision
- Strong writing and storytelling skills for B2B audiences
- Comfort turning ideas into social posts and short-form video
- Self-directed working style; this is not a high-volume or heavy-structure content role
- Ability to work hybrid in Lagos
