The M&W Nuts Company Limited, an agribusiness specialising in processing and packaging cashew nuts, is seeking a Food Technologist to oversee production quality, food safety, product formulation and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of production and packaging processes
• Support internal and external audits, certification processes and regulatory inspections
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and optimise resource utilisation
• Ensure proper handling, storage and processing of raw materials
• Implement and monitor product formulations, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, appearance and quality
• Support product trials, formulation adjustments and new product development
• Analyse quality data and prepare reports to support continuous improvement
• Maintain accurate production, batch, quality inspection and formulation records
• Document deviations, corrective actions, process changes and compliance reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Microbiology or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in food processing, manufacturing or quality assurance, preferably in nut processing or FMCG
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and related food safety standards
• Experience in food production processes and product formulation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production documentation systems
