Amel International Services Limited, a food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead its mechanical, electrical and automation engineering functions, ensuring equipment reliability, efficient plant operations and minimal downtime

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical, electrical and automation engineering functions
• Oversee plant machinery, production equipment, utilities and engineering infrastructure
• Manage preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Supervise troubleshooting and repairs of milling, mixing, packaging, conveying and other process equipment
• Manage electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, control panels and industrial automation
• Drive root cause analysis and improve equipment reliability and performance
• Oversee machinery installation, commissioning and integration
• Manage maintenance planning, spare-parts availability and engineering costs
• Build and lead a competent engineering team

Requirements

• BSc, BEng or HND in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 10 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing engineering experience, including leadership responsibility
• Strong experience in FMCG, food processing, milling, sugar, salt, flour or related manufacturing
• Proven ability to manage mechanical and electrical engineering functions
• Practical experience with process machinery, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and engineering KPIs
• Experience in equipment installation, commissioning and plant expansion projects
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving and team leadership skills
