Mindas Petroleum Limited, a prominent downstream energy organization with over two decades of leadership in the supply, distribution, and retail of premium petroleum products across Nigeria, is recruiting a full-time Senior Accountant. Operating from the corporate office in Lekki, Lagos, this senior financial position sits at the center of the firm's fiscal governance framework.
The Senior Accountant will take full ownership of the corporate general ledger, multi-channel financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory tax structures. This position is tailored for a highly analytical, professionally certified finance leader capable of administering complex downstream accounting matrices, streamlining cash flow reconciliations, handling comprehensive statutory audits, and building solid corporate budgeting models to guide executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities-
Financial Ledger Governance: Maintain absolute precision across corporate books of accounts, general ledgers, and operational financial records.

Period-End Reporting: Structure and compile comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Cash Flow Management: Oversee corporate accounts payable, accounts receivable workflows, and multi-bank financial reconciliations.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the assembly, stress-testing, and monitoring of annual corporate budgets and long-term rolling cash forecasts.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Ensure total compliance across corporate tax frameworks, including the calculation, filing, and remittance of VAT, WHT, and CIT obligations.

Audit Coordination: Lead corporate readiness structures for external statutory audits and manage all corporate financial audit documentation.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited institution.

Professional Certification: Active professional certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is mandatory.

Experience Baseline: Minimum of 10 years of robust, post-qualification accounting experience explicitly situated within the Oil & Gas, Banking, or Tier-1/Tier-2 Professional Audit industries.

Technical Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in navigating modern corporate enterprise accounting software ecosystems alongside complex Microsoft Excel modeling structures.
