Account Assistant

JET Motor Company (JET)—an innovative Nigerian automotive manufacturer producing Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and Electric Vehicles (EVs) designed for African roads—is recruiting an Account Assistant at its office in Sangotedo - Ajah, Lagos State. This full-time position supports the Finance department in daily transaction posting, petty cash management, periodic inventory counts, bank reconciliations, and audit schedule preparations.

• Location: Sangotedo - Ajah, Lagos State (Must reside around Ajah or immediate environs)

• Financial Recordkeeping & Posting: Record daily financial transactions (receipts, payments, journal entries) into accounting systems; update cash books, ledgers, and bank reconciliation statements.

• Invoicing & Accounts Payable/Receivable: Support vendor payment processing, customer invoice issuance, accounts receivable tracking, and statement reconciliations.

• Petty Cash & Inventory Audits: Oversee petty cash disbursements and expense retirements; conduct periodic physical stock counts and assist with stock valuation reconciliations.

• Audit & Reporting Support: Prepare supporting schedules (prepayments, accruals, payables, receivables) for internal and external audits, and organize retrievable financial documentation.

• Education: B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting software; basic working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in or around Ajah / Sangotedo, Lagos.

• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, confidentiality, analytical problem-solving abilities, and effective team communication.
