About this role
Dana Group, a leading Nigerian conglomerate with over five decades of contributions to Nigeria's industrialization and economic growth, is recruiting a Technical Training Coordinator for its automotive division, Dana Motors. Based in Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos, this role is designed for an experienced automotive technical specialist who will lead the training and development of workshop technicians, service advisors, and controllers on state-of-the-art vehicle systems, including Electric Vehicles (EV), Hybrid, and CNG technologies.
Key Responsibilities-
Technical Training Delivery: Design and deliver comprehensive technical training programs to workshop technicians, service advisors, and workshop controllers on the diagnostic, repair, and maintenance procedures for all Kia vehicle models.

Specialized Vehicle Training: Train staff on the proper handling, safety protocols, and servicing of emerging technologies, specifically Electric Vehicles (EV), Hybrid, and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) systems.

Diagnostic Tool Mastery: Educate workshop teams on utilizing advanced automotive diagnostic tools and troubleshooting software effectively.

Curriculum & Materials Development: Develop, update, and maintain automotive training materials, modules, and assessment protocols in line with OEM standards.

Performance Assessment: Evaluate the technical proficiency of trainees, provide constructive feedback, and identify knowledge gaps within the workshop teams to coordinate future training courses.

Education: B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Experience: 5–7 years of professional automotive technical experience, with at least 2–3 years specifically in a technical training role within an OEM, authorized distributor, dealership, or reputable automotive training institution.

Certifications: Professional automotive certifications, OEM technical certifications, and accredited trainer certifications are highly preferred.

Specialized Knowledge: Prior working experience or training with EV, Hybrid, and CNG vehicles is highly desirable.

Core Skills: Comprehensive understanding of modern automotive systems, high proficiency with diagnostic tools, and exceptional presentation, public speaking, and facilitation skills.
