About this role
Africa Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF)—a regional non-governmental organization working across public health, migration, education, governance, and climate change—is recruiting a Project Coordinator in Lagos State. This full-time position will lead the day-to-day field execution, field team supervision, and cross-consortium coordination for AYGF's out-of-school children programming across targeted Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities-
Field Team Leadership & Supervision: Provide direct management and operational support to field-based Community Officers, Learning Officers, and Case Management Officers across assigned Lagos LGAs.

Program Delivery & Quality Control: Coordinate day-to-day student outreach, enrolment, retention activities, and field spot-checks ensuring alignment with the project's Transition Model.

Consortium Coordination: Serve as AYGF’s primary representative in joint program implementation and cross-consortium alignment meetings with partner organizations, including Street Child, Slum2School, and Teach for Nigeria.

Stakeholder Engagement & Safeguarding: Engage LGA education officials, community leaders, and school administrators while escalating safeguarding or child protection concerns according to AYGF policies.

Monitoring & Reporting: Track project indicators, maintain precise beneficiary datasets, and submit detailed periodic progress reports to the Project Manager.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience coordinating community-based education, child protection, or social development programs (preferably targeting out-of-school children).

Sector Background: Mandatory prior experience working within an NGO/non-profit environment.

Consortium & Local Expertise: Working knowledge of the Lagos State education landscape; prior experience working in multi-partner consortiums is a distinct advantage.

Key Competencies: Strong field team supervision, multi-stakeholder management, and program data tracking skills.
