Medical Laboratory Technician

Solid Rock Hospital—a 26-bed private healthcare facility established in 1992—is recruiting a Medical Laboratory Technician for its hospital in Ojodu Berger, Lagos State. This full-time role involves performing clinical lab procedures, phlebotomy, operating automated hematology/chemistry analyzers, managing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and handling specimen documentation.

• Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos State (Must reside within Ojodu Berger and immediate environs)

• Clinical Diagnostic Operations: Perform adult and pediatric phlebotomy (blood collection); operate and maintain automatic hematology and chemistry analyzers, centrifuges, and other diagnostic apparatus.

• Specimen & LIMS Management: Label, sort, and log clinical specimens; utilize Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software for specimen tracking, results entry, and report generation.

• Laboratory Operations & Inventory: Maintain laboratory checklists, manage reagent stock levels, track inventory, and uphold standard operating and safety protocols.

• Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited School of Health Technology.

• Licensing: Up-to-date registration and practicing license with the relevant regulatory council.

• Experience: 2 to 10 years of active clinical laboratory experience.

• Location Constraint: Must reside within Ojodu Berger or immediate surrounding areas.

• Core Competencies: Proficiency in computer/LIMS software, pediatric and adult phlebotomy, compassionate patient interaction, and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
