Architect

Yimei Nigeria Limited—the Nigerian operating arm of the international Yimei Group hospitality chain—is recruiting an Architect – Hotel Projects for its regional office in Ikeja, Lagos State.This full-time architectural role focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and supervising construction and renovation projects across the company's expanding portfolio of budget to upscale hotels and serviced apartments in Nigeria.

• Architectural Design & Space Planning: Develop architectural concepts, schematics, construction documents, and detailed working drawings tailored for hotel renovations, building conversions, and new developments.

• Site Supervision & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits, supervise ongoing construction work, resolve design discrepancies, and ensure adherence to approved architectural plans, building codes, and safety standards.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with interior designers, structural/MEP engineers, general contractors, and hotel operations teams to optimize guest room layouts, public spaces, and operational efficiency.

• Procurement & Technical Support: Review material specifications, finishes, and fixtures with the procurement team; prepare project reports, cost considerations, and design proposals for management review.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc / B.Arch) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture. Professional certification (ARCON / NIA) is an added advantage.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management. Mandatory experience working on hotel, resort, or serviced apartment projects.

• Software Skills: Proficiency in architectural design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, ArchiCAD) and CorelDraw (highly emphasized for graphic presentations/layouts).

• Portfolio Requirement: Applicants must provide a portfolio showcasing completed hotel or hospitality projects, explicitly detailing their specific role and responsibilities on each project.

• Core Competencies: Deep understanding of hospitality spatial flows, building codes, construction management, site supervision, and multidisciplinary team coordination.
