Maintenance Officer

Class Suites Hotels & Apartments—a boutique hotel chain operating in Lagos, Abuja, and Ibadan—is recruiting a Maintenance Officer for its property located in Jabi, Abuja (FCT). This full-time role oversees facility upkeep, preventive equipment servicing, routine physical repairs (HVAC, plumbing, pool systems, fixtures), team supervision, contractor management, and maintenance budget reporting.

• Facility Maintenance & Physical Repairs: Carry out prompt repairs across the hotel, including fixing leaking pipes, faulty AC units, loose handrails, broken tiles, and maintaining swimming pool pumps/filtration systems.

• Preventive Service Scheduling: Enforce on-time maintenance schedules for all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, water heaters, boilers, and safety apparatus.

• Contractor & Vendor Supervision: Coordinate with specialized third-party technical contractors (e.g., elevator/lift engineers, heavy equipment specialists) to execute complex repair contracts.

• Team Leadership & Inter-Departmental Support: Supervise on-site maintenance technicians, perform regular performance reviews, and respond rapidly to maintenance requests from housekeeping and front office.

• Budgeting & Operational Reporting: Manage the facility maintenance budget, track repair expenses, justify operational expenditures, and submit periodic diagnostic/status reports to management.

• Experience & Skills: Hands-on experience in hotel, commercial facility, or building maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and basic masonry work).

• Leadership & Organization: Strong supervisory skills, ability to manage maintenance teams, track inventory/spares, and control operational budgets.

• Guest Service & Safety Focus: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong customer service orientation, and adherence to safety protocols.
