Assistant Finance Manager

Olam Agri—a global leader in food, feed, and fiber agri-business processing and distribution—is recruiting an Assistant Finance Manager for its plant and project operations in Warri, Delta State. This mid-to-senior financial management position covers both pre-commissioning capital expenditure (Capex) oversight for project developments and post-commissioning plant accounting, inventory control, and SAP financial governance.

• Project Finance & Capex Management (Pre-Commissioning): Maintain project Capex trackers, review spending against approved budgets, conduct cost variance analysis, track purchase orders and vendor advances, and oversee Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) through asset creation.

• Plant Finance Leadership (Post-Commissioning): Direct plant accounting operations, manage month-end financial closing, prepare management information system (MIS) reports, and track manufacturing unit costs.

• Inventory & Asset Governance: Lead periodic inventory counts and reconciliations, manage slow-moving stock reviews, and coordinate physical asset tagging, transfers, disposals, and statutory depreciation policies.

• Internal Controls & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce organizational Delegation of Authority (DOA), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and statutory accounting compliance.

• Education & Professional Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance PLUS full membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

• Experience Level: 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience across plant accounting, manufacturing finance, Capex tracking, and industrial asset capitalization.

• Technical Software Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (FI/CO/MM/Asset Accounting modules) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for MIS reporting.

• Core Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of capital project governance, inventory control frameworks, and cross-functional leadership skills with engineering and procurement teams.
