About this role
Olam Agri—a market-leading global agribusiness operating across grains, animal feed, rice, edible oils, and commodity supply chains—is recruiting an HR Business Partner for its Manufacturing, Technical, and Supply Chain (MATS) operations in Apapa, Lagos State.
Reporting through the Human Resources Department, this strategic HRBP role serves as a trusted advisor to plant operations, mill facilities, and supply chain leadership teams, managing talent acquisition, workforce planning, capability development, performance evaluation, and HR process excellence across manufacturing units.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnering & Workforce Planning: Advise MATS leadership teams on organizational design, headcount budgeting, succession planning, and workforce productivity across plants, mills, and warehouses.

Technical Talent Acquisition & Deployment: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition (TA) teams to source, assess, and onboard specialized engineering, plant management, quality assurance, and graduate trainee talent.

Performance Management & Capability Building: Oversee the annual performance review cycle, map functional skill gaps among shift supervisors and technical staff, and execute L&D training frameworks.

HR Operations & HRIS Compliance: Partner with Plant HR/IR Managers and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to maintain seamless onboarding/offboarding, payroll input accuracy, and SuccessFactors/HRIS data management.

Employee Engagement & Culture: Direct employee pulse surveys, execute engagement programs, enforce workplace safety/HR policies, and guide change management during factory modernizations or operational shifts.
Requirements & Qualifications

Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (specialization in HR, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration is preferred).

Professional Certifications: Professional HR certifications (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) are an advantage.

Industry Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience embedded within high-volume manufacturing facilities, supply chain hubs, or industrial plant environments.

Core Competencies: Technical talent planning, labor relations oversight, SuccessFactors/HRIS systems, HR metrics analysis, and change management.
