About this role
Dangote Group—a premier African industrial conglomerate—is recruiting a Head, Talent Management for its corporate operations in Lagos State. Reporting to executive leadership, this HR leadership role oversees talent acquisition, executive succession planning, strategic workforce development, HR analytics, and performance management across three major Strategic Business Units (SBUs).
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning: Formulate and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals; lead succession planning, talent reviews, resource planning, and continuous performance improvement initiatives across all SBUs.
- Recruitment & End-to-End Onboarding: Oversee high-volume corporate recruitment, job descriptions, executive candidate shortlisting, interview boards, employment contracts, pre-employment screening, and candidate onboarding.
- Performance Management & HR Metrics: Direct annual/bi-annual appraisal cycles, KPI-setting frameworks, probation reviews, and HR reporting metrics (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for executive management decision-making.
- Policy Governance & Third-Party Management: Design and enforce HR policies, maintain confidentiality across SBU operations, manage third-party outsourcing relationships, and ensure full compliance with employment law.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Background: First Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s Degree specializing in Human Resources is required.
- Professional Certification: Mandatory membership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN).
- Work Experience: Minimum 10 years of HR experience at a managerial level, including proven experience handling high-volume recruitment, FMCG workforce structures, third-party vendor management, and learning/coaching programs.
- Core Technical Competencies: Advanced proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), employment law frameworks, HR analytics, and commercial cost-control strategies.
