About this role
SIL Chemicals is recruiting a Warehouse Manager for its warehouse facility along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, Isolo, Lagos State. This operational leadership role oversees inventory control, stock segregation, FEFO/FIFO dispatch, and regulatory safety standards across a diverse portfolio of raw materials—including industrial polymers, flammable solvents, food-grade ingredients, cosmetic inputs, pharmaceutical raw materials, and specialty chemicals.
Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Leadership: Supervise all daily warehouse operations, stock receiving, quality inspection, batch/lot tracking, and dispatch efficiency.

Chemical Safety & segregation: Enforce chemical compatibility segregation, hazardous material handling rules, and HSSE standards, specifically managing flammable solvents and specialty chemicals.

Hygienic Storage & Quality Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Good Warehouse Practices (GWP), Good Storage Practices (GSP), and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) to prevent cross-contamination of food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical raw materials.

Stock Audits & Systems Control: Maintain inventory accuracy via regular cycle counts, ERP/WMS entries, FEFO/FIFO tracking, and discrepancy investigations.

Cross-Functional Operations: Establish SOPs, manage warehouse personnel, coordinate preventive equipment maintenance, and liaise with Procurement, QA, Logistics, and Sales.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of overall warehouse/logistics experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.

Domain Expertise: Direct experience managing warehouses storing industrial chemicals, raw materials, or pharmaceutical ingredients is highly preferred.

Certifications: Professional credentials in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Health & Safety (OSHA, NEBOSH, etc.) are an added advantage.

Technical & Core Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); deep knowledge of FEFO/FIFO principles and local environmental/safety regulations.
