Job Description

• Serve as the primary HR contact for the Lagos hub (250+ employees), managing employee relations cases end-to-end.

• Coach and advise local leaders on performance and management, while supporting Nigerian statutory compliance (PAYE, HMO, Pension, NHF) and the Nigerian Labour Act.

• Assist with office management, recruitment support, change management, and adoption of AI-driven HR tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations end-to-end, including performance management, conduct, and grievance resolution.

• Provide advice and coaching to senior local leaders on people decisions and team dynamics.

• Ensure statutory compliance across PAYE, HMO, Pension, NHF, and the Nigerian Labour Act.

• Support office management operations and potential office expansion efforts.

• Track and report local people metrics, support local hiring efforts, and drive adoption of AI HR tools.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist with significant employee relations exposure in Nigeria.

• Demonstrated experience independently managing employee relations cases.

• Working knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Act and local statutory requirements.

• Experience advising or coaching senior leadership stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications & Attributes

• Prior HR experience within a global, distributed, or fast-paced startup environment.

• Proficiency with modern HRIS software (experience with Rippling is a plus).
