About this role
Valuemart—a retail, hospitality, and healthcare company operating superstores, bakeries, restaurants, and pharmacy outlets—is recruiting a Pharmacist Superintendent for its location in Wuye, Abuja (FCT). This clinical and regulatory leadership role oversees all pharmacy operations. The position ensures strict adherence to PCN (Pharmacy Council of Nigeria) laws, manages controlled drug ledgers, supervises cold-chain inventory, and provides clinical consultation and patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Licensing: Serve as the primary licensed Superintendent Pharmacist, ensuring full compliance with PCN, NAFDAC, and FMOH regulations, and maintaining up-to-date premises licenses and permits.

Supervision & Dispensing Care: Oversee day-to-day retail pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate prescription dispensing, patient counseling, and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Controlled Drugs & Inventory Management: Oversee procurement, inventory audits, and strict record-keeping of controlled substances, ensuring proper storage and cold-chain compliance for vaccines and temperature-sensitive biologicals.

Academic Credentials: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from an accredited university.

Professional Licensing: Valid registration and current practicing license with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).

Experience Baseline: Minimum of 2 years of proven operational experience in a Superintendent Pharmacist or community pharmacy management capacity.

Core Competencies: Clinical consultation, controlled drug management, inventory auditing, regulatory compliance, and customer care.
