Medical Laboratory Technician

Solid Rock Hospital—a 26-bed private medical and dental healthcare facility established in 1992—is recruiting a Medical Laboratory Technician for its diagnostic laboratory in Ojodu Berger, Lagos State. Reporting to the Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist and Clinical Director, this full-time diagnostic role handles clinical phlebotomy (adults and pediatrics), automated hematology/chemistry analyzer operations, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), inventory tracking, and diagnostic specimen analysis.

• Phlebotomy & Sample Management: Perform venous/capillary blood draws on pediatric and adult patients; collect, label, sort, and log clinical specimens into computer systems.

• Analyzer Operations & Diagnostics: Run routine and specialized diagnostic tests using automated hematology, clinical chemistry, and electrolyte analyzers while maintaining calibration logs.

• LIMS Data Entry & Record Keeping: Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for specimen tracking, result entry, verification, and clinical report delivery.

• Laboratory Operations & Quality Control: Execute daily equipment maintenance, update quality control checklists, perform chemical reagent inventory checks, and enforce infection control/biohazard safety standards.

• Academic & Professional Credentials: MLT Diploma + active MLSCN practicing license + local residency in Ojodu Berger/environs.

• Technical Software & Equipment Toolstack: Automated chemistry/hematology analyzers, LIMS diagnostic software, digital thermometers, micro-balances, and MS Office.

• Core Competencies: Pediatric/adult phlebotomy, clinical chemistry, hematology testing, reagent stock management, patient care, and biohazard safety protocol compliance.
