About this role
Zetile Stores Limited—a 24-hour supermarket chain operating in Lekki, Lagos—is recruiting a Procurement Officer for its retail supermarket outlet in Igbo-Efon, Lekki. Reporting to the Store Operations Manager and working alongside the Inventory Officer, this commercial supply chain role manages supplier negotiations, vendor selection, purchase orders, quality checks, and stock replenishment across FMCG product categories.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Procurement Execution: Source local suppliers, request quotations, negotiate pricing terms, issue purchase orders, and track timely product deliveries.

Inventory Alignment & Replenishment: Coordinate with the Inventory Officer to monitor stock-out trends, fast-moving consumer lines, and reorder points to prevent shelf depletion or overstocking.

Supplier Relationship & Quality Management: Audit vendor performance, inspect incoming products for quality and shelf-life compliance, and maintain a qualified supplier database.

Cost Optimization & Documentation: Identify bulk purchasing discount opportunities, maintain procurement audit logs, and log purchase orders within the store's ERP software.

Academic Credentials: Bachelor's Degree or HND in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.

Experience Baseline: 1+ years of practical purchasing or supply chain experience in retail, supermarket operations, or FMCG distribution.

Software Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, reporting) and exposure to inventory/procurement ERP systems.

Core Competencies: Commercial negotiation, price benchmarking, vendor management, ethical integrity, and numerical analysis.
