Financial Control Officer

Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited—a licensed State Microfinance Bank focused on group lending, financial inclusion, and micro-insurance—is recruiting a Financial Control Officer for its corporate office in Ogba, Lagos State. Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, this core finance role oversees daily GL maintenance, bank reconciliations, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulatory N-Returns, Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) reporting, tax compliance (PAYE, WHT, EMTL), and treasury placements.

• CBN Regulatory & ALCO Reporting: Prepare monthly CBN N-Returns, weekly Financial Control Unit ALCO reports, minutes of meetings, and executive Board presentation files.

• Bank Reconciliations & Treasury Oversight: Execute weekly bank reconciliations, complete End-of-Month (EOM) reconciliation files, monitor idle funds, and manage fixed deposit/call placements with correspondent banks.

• Management Accounts & Ledger Control: Prepare monthly management accounts, post monthly GL journals, review daily balance sheet/income accounts, and investigate ledger variances.

• Tax Remittances & Investment Processing: Maintain remittance receipts for PAYE, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), while processing customer Fixed Deposit placements within 24 hours.

• Academic & Professional Credentials: Degree in Accounting/Finance; progress toward or completion of ACA (ICAN) or ACCA preferred.

• Sector Track Record: 3–5 years in banking financial control, audit, or MFB accounting functions with direct exposure to CBN regulatory guidelines.

• Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling) and Core Banking Applications (CBAs).

• Core Competencies: Statutory tax compliance, treasury cash management, ALCO reporting, numeric analysis, and financial integrity.
