About this role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN Plc)—the industrial food manufacturing conglomerate behind the Golden Penny brand—is recruiting a Quality Trade & Complaints Specialist (East Region Research & Development B2B) to manage technical customer support and B2B bakery quality assurance across Eastern Nigeria. Reporting to the Regional R&D and Quality Assurance Lead, this frontline technical role conducts field investigations at industrial bakeries, diagnoses flour functionality and dough rheology issues, executes technical audits, and manages B2B customer complaint resolutions across eastern commercial hubs.
Key Responsibilities

Field Audits & Technical Investigations: Conduct on-site technical investigations at customer bakeries and distribution centers across Eastern Nigeria to evaluate flour performance and dough handling characteristics.

Bakery Trials & Root Cause Analysis: Perform hands-on baking trials, diagnose flour functionality issues, evaluate dough rheology, and recommend precise corrective adjustments to master bakers.

Complaint Resolution & Lab Coordination: Oversee technical customer complaints from logging to resolution, collect field samples, coordinate laboratory analyses, and issue formal technical reports.

B2B Relationship Management: Maintain strong working relationships with commercial bakery owners, industrial confectioners, and trade distributors to protect Golden Penny's market share.

Academic Credentials: B.Sc. or HND in Food Science, Food Technology, Cereal Science, or Cereal Chemistry.

Technical & Functional Mastery: In-depth understanding of flour gluten structures, dough rheology, fermentation science, industrial baking machinery, and cereal quality testing.

Core Competencies: Technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, laboratory report interpretation, B2B customer relationship management, and field auditing.
