Junior Product Manager

About the Role

A fast-growing fintech company is seeking a Junior Product Manager to join its Product team and support the delivery and continuous improvement of innovative financial products. Hybrid role based in Victoria Island, Lagos. Full-time. Salary is open and competitive.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Support, and external partners to translate product requirements into clear, executable work and ensure features are delivered successfully.

Responsibilities

• Support product initiatives from discovery through launch.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, and definitions of done.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Design to clarify requirements and resolve blockers.
• Manage product tickets, sprint priorities, documentation, and delivery follow-ups.
• Conduct product research, competitor analysis, and user feedback reviews.
• Support testing, quality assurance, feature validation, and production monitoring.
• Analyze product data and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Work with Compliance and Operations to ensure product requirements meet regulatory and operational needs.
• Support partner integrations, including requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and launch readiness.
• Maintain clear product documentation and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Take ownership of smaller product areas and initiatives as experience grows.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, project coordination, operations, technology, or a related role.
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, cryptocurrency, or financial services.
• Familiarity with Jira, Notion, Slack, Figma, analytics tools, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting API integrations or working with third-party technology partners.
• Understanding of KYC, KYB, compliance, payments, wallets, cards, or cross-border transactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate business problems into clear product requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with Engineering, Design, Operations, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
• Basic understanding of product development and agile delivery.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and customer feedback to support decisions.
• Willingness to learn quickly and take increasing ownership.
