Merchant Acquisition Officer
About this role
Giscount is a deals and rewards platform where customers earn cashback on their purchases. We are looking for Merchant Acquisition Officers to sign up and activate local businesses in Yaba, Ikeja and Surulere, Lagos. You will visit businesses, onboard them onto the platform, help them list their first deal, and support them until customers are redeeming
Job Details
- Location: Yaba, Ikeja and Surulere, Lagos
- Work Arrangement: On-site (field-based)
- Employment Type: 3-month initial contract, with possibility of converting to full-time
- Hours: Flexible (suits people already doing field or POS work)
- Remuneration: NGN 100,000 monthly plus discretionary bonus
What You Will Do
- Identify and visit restaurants, lounges and other businesses for onboarding
- Train merchant staff on confirming customer visits
- Keep in touch with your merchants so they stay active
- Report weekly on visits, sign-ups and activations
Requirements
- Experience in field sales, POS or merchant acquisition is a strong plus
- An existing network of business owners in Yaba, Ikeja or Surulere
- Confident, persuasive and comfortable walking into businesses
- Smartphone and basic comfort with apps
- Lives in or near Yaba, Ikeja or Surulere
- Valid ID and a guarantor
