Accounts Payable Officer

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to manage supplier payments accurately and on time. You will process invoices, reconcile accounts and keep payables records clean and audit ready

Job Details

• Location: Lagos, Nigeria
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Experience: At least 5 years in accounts payable

Key Responsibilities

• Verify, code and process supplier invoices and payment requests
• Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes
• Prepare and run weekly payment schedules
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Handle withholding tax and VAT on payments, and keep records for audits
• Maintain the AP ledger and report on outstanding payables

Requirements

• BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, WHT and VAT
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP or similar)
• Accurate, organised and able to meet deadlines
• ICAN or ANAN membership is an added advantage
