Job Title: Commercial Lead
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Lead to drive revenue growth, manage commercial risks, negotiate contracts, and ensure the Company's services are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that drive revenue and protect profitability.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through procurement plans, market intelligence, and industry networks.
- Build and maintain relationships with IOCs, indigenous operators, EPC contractors, and strategic partners.
- Lead tender, bid, and commercial proposal preparation and submission.
- Lead contract and commercial negotiations and monitor contract performance.
- Manage contract variations, extensions, renewals, and close-outs.
- Monitor project budgets, pricing, margins, revenue, and overall contract profitability.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Support dispute resolution and work closely with Legal advisers where required.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Oil & Gas regulations, local content requirements, and Company governance policies.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Procurement, HR, HSE, and Legal to ensure commercially viable project delivery.
- Lead and support the commercial team while maintaining compliance with QHSSE policies.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- MBA or Master's Degree is an advantage.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies is desirable.
- Minimum of 8–12 years experience in commercial, contracts, business development, or sales roles within the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing tenders, contract negotiations, and key client relationships.
- Experience working with IOCs, indigenous operators, or major service companies is an advantage.
- Strong skills in commercial negotiation, contract management, tender and bid preparation, financial analysis, pricing, relationship management, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, risk assessment, project management, and leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity with ERP/CRM or contract management systems.
- Must be results-oriented, able to work under pressure and travel at short notice, and capable of representing the Company before regulatory and government agencies.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Salary: #950,000 - #1,100,000
