About this role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for the property, ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance of building systems—including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment, and equipment. The role also involves leading and developing the engineering team while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and manage the engineering department to ensure uninterrupted operations, safe facilities, efficient energy use, and timely completion of maintenance and capital projects. Typical responsibilities include oversight of HVAC, boilers, water treatment, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Operational leadership: manage daily engineering operations, supervise technicians, assign shifts, and maintain on‑call coverage.
- Preventive maintenance: design and run a preventive maintenance schedule, maintain asset registers and service logs.
- Systems management: oversee HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, water treatment, fire systems, and kitchen equipment.
- Energy and cost control: monitor energy consumption, recommend efficiency upgrades, and manage utility budgets.
- Health and safety compliance: enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure statutory inspections and certifications are current.
- Capex and vendor management: prepare maintenance budgets, manage repair and capex projects, and negotiate with contractors and suppliers.
- Emergency response: lead fault diagnosis and rapid restoration during outages or equipment failures.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
§ Education: HND/BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
§ Professional experience: Minimum 5-6 years in facilities or hotel engineering with at least 3 years in a supervisory role; experience in hospitality and large F&B operations preferred.
§ Technical skills: strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, water treatment, and building automation; competency with CMMS and basic budgeting.
