About this role
Evans Industries is recruiting a full-time Factory Accountant to join its finance team in Lagos. This role is tailored for a detail-oriented professional with a hands-on approach to managing plant finances. You will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting structures, tracking manufacturing inventories, managing production variances, and leveraging ERP systems to ensure highly accurate financial reporting directly within a manufacturing plant environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Cost Accounting & Variance Analysis: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, calculate production variances, and optimize standard costing metrics for raw materials and finished goods.

Inventory Control & Reconciliations: Direct regular stock counts, manage inventory valuation audits, and reconcile physical factory assets with digital financial Ledgers.

ERP & Software Systems Management: Operate and update integrated ERP frameworks and accounting software to maintain seamless financial transparency across factory floors.

Reporting & Analytical Oversight: Prepare precise monthly factory financial reports, evaluate production cost-efficiencies, and deliver data-driven insights to plant management.

Tenure: 3–5 years of dedicated experience specifically within a manufacturing or production accounting environment.

Domain Expertise: Strong, demonstrable experience in cost accounting principles, ERP systems operations, and inventory control protocols.

Technical Software: Deep proficiency with Microsoft Excel alongside hands-on familiarity with prominent accounting platforms (such as SAP, Sage, or QuickBooks).

Core Competencies: High attention to detail, robust analytical capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related financial discipline.

Professional Credentials: Holding an active professional accounting charter (such as ICAN or ACCA) is considered a strong advantage.
