Finance Analyst (Finance & Accounts Department)

Located at the AAVA facility in Lagos, this role reports directly to the Manager of Reporting & Commercial. The position is centered on driving the organization’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, developing sophisticated forecasting models, tracking commercial KPIs, and translating financial datasets into strategic business insights for senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & FP&A: Review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows to flag performance trends and track cross-departmental KPIs.

• Budgeting & Variance Tracking: Coordinate with department heads to assemble annual budgets and periodic forecasts; identify, investigate, and present financial variance reports.

• Strategic Business Partnering: Provide cross-functional financial models to evaluate business drivers, potential investments, and structural market acquisitions alongside the sales, marketing, and operations teams.

• Process Optimization: Streamline automated reporting routines within the current ERP architecture to optimize FP&A workflows.

Requirements

• Experience & Certifications: Documented experience in corporate financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. Must be a Chartered Accountant (e.g., ICAN, ACCA).

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred).

• Technical Skills: Expert proficiency with complex Excel frameworks, ERP accounting platforms, and business intelligence planning software.
