About this role
EHA Clinics, a subsidiary of eHealth Africa and a leading healthcare network across Nigeria providing innovative, data-driven, and technology-enabled services, is recruiting a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist. Based at their facility in Abuja, the successful candidate will work within the Laboratory and Diagnostics department to conduct comprehensive medical investigations, operate sophisticated analytical equipment, and deliver clinically precise diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities-
Specimen Processing: Gather, match, organize, and log laboratory specimens against computer orders to ensure accurate labeling and prep before testing.

Clinical & Molecular Diagnostics: Perform molecular diagnostics (including PCR using both open and closed systems), hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and infectious disease testing.

Quality Control & Instrument Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and calibration of sophisticated laboratory equipment; run standards and controls to monitor strict quality control protocols.

Results Communication: Identify abnormal results and immediately alert supervisory personnel, nurses, or physicians; deliver reports and interact with patients and families in a compassionate, professional manner.

Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, sterile, and orderly work surface, adhering strictly to biosafety standards and hospital infection control procedures.

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited university.

Professional Certification: Must be certified by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN/AMLSCN) and possess a valid, current practicing license.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of active working experience in a Medical Laboratory, clinic, or hospital setting.

Specialized Training: Practical experience and training in molecular diagnostic techniques, particularly PCR testing, is highly required.

Core Skills: Strong computer literacy, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
