Alliance Hospital, a premier multi-specialty hospital established to provide world-class healthcare, advance specialized surgeries, and deliver high-quality clinical care in Nigeria, is recruiting a highly skilled and resilient Critical Care Nurse. Based in Area 11, Garki, Abuja, this full-time nursing professional will provide high-dependency care, monitor critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and execute clinical interventions adhering to international best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Critical Patient Management: Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, closely monitoring vital signs, managing advanced life-support equipment, and administering prescribed treatments.
- Emergency Response: Rapidly evaluate, respond to, and manage medical emergencies or sudden clinical deterioration within the intensive care or high-dependency units.
- Procedure Execution: Perform critical care nursing procedures, track clinical parameters, and maintain meticulous, accurate patient care records and chartings.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with multi-specialty consultant physicians, surgeons, and healthcare personnel to implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Patient & Family Support: Communicate patient updates empathetically and professionally to family members while enforcing strict clinical safety, infection control, and NMCN standards.
Requirements
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) certification or equivalent qualification.
- Licensing: Valid, current practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years post-qualification clinical experience. (Demonstrable experience or a post-basic qualification in Intensive Care Nursing is an added advantage).
- Technical Knowledge: Sound practical knowledge of critical care protocols, clinical monitoring, and emergency response tools.
