About this role
Osiris Health Limited, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to making life-saving renal care accessible in Nigeria by partnering with trusted hospitals to establish and run high-quality, affordable dialysis units, is recruiting competent Medical Officers. Based in Akure (Ondo State) and Warri (Delta State), these medical professionals will oversee the clinical care of patients undergoing dialysis, manage emergencies, and ensure strict adherence to nephrology safety standards.
Locations: Warri (Delta) and Akure (Ondo)
Key Responsibilities-
Clinical Patient Care: Oversee the daily clinical management of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including pre-dialysis assessments, monitoring during sessions, and post-treatment evaluations.

Emergency Response: Provide prompt and effective clinical intervention during dialysis-related complications or other medical emergencies within the unit.

Treatment Planning: Collaborate with consulting Nephrologists to execute tailored dialysis prescriptions, monitor laboratory parameters, and adjust therapies as required.

Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential electronic and physical patient records. Ensure all activities comply with national healthcare and infection control regulations.

Collaboration: Partner with dialysis nurses, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure seamless daily operations and a highly supportive patient environment.

Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS / MBChB) from a recognized institution.

Licensing: Must possess a valid, current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

Experience:
-
Prior clinical experience as a Medical Officer (experience working in a dialysis unit, renal department, or intensive care unit is a distinct advantage).

Strong foundational knowledge of fluid management, electrolyte balance, and renal failure management.
