Business Relationship Manager

Moniepoint Incorporated, a global business payments and banking platform and one of Africa's premier financial technology leaders—partnering with over 600,000 businesses—is recruiting a strategic Business Relationship Manager. Working remotely within Rivers State, this full-time officer will lead merchant acquisition, execute hyper-local sales strategies, and drive adoption of Moniepoint's banking products, lending services, and point-of-sale (POS) terminal business.

• Merchant Acquisition & Sales: Actively identify, solicit, and onboard new business merchants through targeted cold calling, networking, cluster marketing, and trade fair participation.

• Relationship Management: Nurture and maintain strong business relationships with current enterprise merchants and corporate accounts to prevent churn.

• Product Cross-Selling: Identify merchant financial needs and cross-sell appropriate Moniepoint financial products, corporate accounts, and lending services.

• Team Leadership: Convene daily sales alignment meetings, review performance metrics, and jointly map out target territories for the sales field agents.

• Market Intelligence & Feedback: Conduct local market research to analyze customer needs, track competitor actions, and communicate user feedback to internal product teams.

• Education: Degree/Tertiary education from a recognized institution.

• Experience:

  • 4 to 5 years of in-depth sales experience, with a clear preference for professionals coming from the banking, financial services, or fintech industries.

  • Proven track record in merchant onboarding, sales of POS terminals, and commercial lending services.

• Networks: A strong, pre-existing professional network of corporate and enterprise merchants in Rivers State is highly advantageous.

• Key Skills: Outstanding communication, sharp business acumen, analytical thinking, and the ability to hit high-volume targets with minimal supervision.
