Internal Audit Supervisor

Alpha Pharmacy and Stores Limited—a supplier of rare ethical pharmaceuticals, critical care products, and GE medical equipment—is recruiting an Internal Audit Supervisor. Based on-site in Lagos, this full-time supervisory role oversees financial, operational, and compliance audits to strengthen internal controls, assess risks, and ensure regulatory compliance across business units.

• Audit Planning & Execution: Plan and execute comprehensive internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance processes across various company units.

• Internal Controls & Risk Assessment: Evaluate internal control systems, assess business risk exposures, review financial statements, and prepare objective audit reports with actionable recommendations.

• Team Supervision & Governance: Supervise audit staff, coordinate audit schedules, ensure adherence to professional audit standards, and follow up on issue remediation.

• Management & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with finance, logistics, and management teams to enhance corporate governance, streamline operational workflows, and enforce regulatory compliance.

• Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Certifications: Professional accounting or audit certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA) are a strong advantage.

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management—preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or retail sectors.

• Core Competencies: Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and standard audit reporting methodologies.

• Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common accounting/ERP software systems.

• Leadership & Ethics: Strong supervisory skills, sharp analytical abilities, high integrity, and strict adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality.
