Studio Manager
About this role
Media Trust Limited—owners of Daily Trust Newspaper, Trust TV, Trust Radio, and digital platforms—is recruiting an experienced Studio Manager. Based in Abuja, this technical and operational leadership role oversees daily operations across television broadcast studios, managing technical infrastructure, floor crews, and broadcast scheduling for live and pre-recorded programming.
Key Responsibilities-
Live Broadcast & Recording Supervision: Oversee all live and pre-recorded studio productions, ensuring high production value and strict adherence to broadcast timelines, scripts, and running orders.

Resource & Facility Scheduling: Coordinate daily studio floor schedules, resource allocation, physical set setups/striking, and equipment inventory.

Crew Leadership & Roster Management: Direct and evaluate studio personnel (floor managers, camera operators, lighting technicians, audio engineers); manage shift rosters and freelance bookings.

Technical & Engineering Coordination: Partner with engineering teams to maintain broadcast equipment (cameras, lighting rigs, audio systems) and resolve live broadcast operational bottlenecks.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and equipment rigging regulations across the studio floor.

Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Television Production, Engineering, or a related field.

Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 years in television production, including at least 4 years in a supervisory/management role.

Expert technical knowledge of studio lighting rigs, broadcast cameras, control room switchers, audio systems, and digital video workflows.

Proficiency in broadcast scheduling software and digital asset management (DAM) platforms.

Exceptional leadership, real-time decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills under high-stress, live broadcast conditions.
