Head of Broadcast Operations

Media Trust Limited—owners of Daily Trust Newspaper, Trust TV, Trust Radio, Aminiya, and digital platforms—is recruiting an experienced Head of Broadcast Operations. Based in Abuja, this executive role oversees the operational, commercial, and technical management of Trust TV and Trust Radio, ensuring operational efficiency and long-term financial sustainability while partnering with the central newsroom.

• Operational & Broadcast Management: Direct daily broadcast operations, develop operational strategies, and establish performance standards across Trust TV and Trust Radio.

• Commercial Strategy & Revenue Generation: Drive advertising sales, sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and new revenue models to maximize station profitability.

• Engineering & Technical Oversight: Supervise broadcast engineering, studio operations, transmitters, and technical infrastructure maintenance.

• Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee station budgets, control operational costs, and report performance metrics directly to Executive Management and subsidiary boards.

• Compliance & Stakeholder Relations: Ensure strict adherence to broadcasting regulatory standards, manage risk frameworks, and represent the stations with regulatory bodies, partners, and vendors.

• Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Postgraduate Degree: An M.Sc., MBA, or relevant postgraduate qualification is considered an advantage.

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive/management role within broadcasting or media operations.

• Proven strategic leadership, commercial acumen, and financial management capabilities.

• Extensive knowledge of end-to-end broadcast operations and engineering oversight.

• High-level stakeholder management, decision-making, and people leadership skills.
