Business Development Officer

Citygate Global Investment Limited, a non-bank microfinance institution and registered money lender, is recruiting Business Development Officers. This full-time role focuses on driving revenue growth, loan portfolio expansion, SME client acquisition, creditworthiness assessment, and cross-selling financial products across four state locations.

• Revenue Expansion & Pipeline Sourcing: Identify, prospect, and acquire new SME and individual accounts while leading full sales cycles (sourcing, qualification, negotiation, conversion).

• Product Sales & Cross-Selling: Drive loan, savings, and investment product sales; execute structured upselling and cross-selling strategies for existing accounts.

• Credit Rating & Risk Analysis: Evaluate client creditworthiness, interpret credit ratings, and structure feasible repayment budgets and schedules for borrowers.

• Account Management & Retention: Serve as commercial lead for key clients, monitor account health, identify churn risks early, and take proactive measures to protect revenue.

• Work Scheduling & Marketing: Formulate daily/weekly client outreach schedules and execute localized marketing campaigns.

• Education: HND or B.Sc. Degree in any discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Microfinance Banking (MFB) or Microfinance Institutions (MFI).

• Core Competencies:

  • Demonstrated track record in SME lending, deposit mobilization, and account management.

  • Strong credit appraisal and financial analysis skills.

  • Deep understanding of microfinance products, risk management, and loan recovery schedules.

  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and pipeline management abilities.
