About this role
Jake Riley Limited, an international management and technical consultancy firm in Nigeria, is recruiting a Head, Engineering Services. Located in Lagos, this executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing multi-disciplinary engineering functions, driving engineering business engagements, managing client proposals, ensuring project quality standards, and mentoring technical teams.
Key Responsibilities-
Strategic & Business Leadership: Develop engineering division strategies aligned with corporate objectives and drive client business engagements that deliver target revenue outcomes.

Project Proposals & Execution: Manage engineering project proposals, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee project execution to ensure deliverables meet client specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Technical Quality & Governance: Establish, maintain, and enforce technical standards, quality assurance protocols, industry safety codes, and regulatory compliance across engineering disciplines.

Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead, coach, and mentor engineering teams, promoting technical innovation, continuous learning, and effective problem-solving.

Stakeholder & Client Relations: Facilitate transparent, proactive communication with clients and external partners throughout project lifecycles to build long-term advisory partnerships.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. (A Master’s degree is preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in engineering management, technical leadership, and large-scale project management roles.

Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant engineering disciplines (such as well cementing, electrical systems, drilling operations, civil construction, or industrial projects).

Technical & Soft Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard engineering software; proven team motivation and leadership capacity; strong cross-departmental collaboration and client engagement skills.
