About this role
H. Pierson Associates Limited, a management consulting firm, is recruiting a Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) on behalf of a leading financial institution. Based in Lagos, this executive role is responsible for overall strategic leadership, business expansion, credit risk governance, P&L ownership, CBN regulatory compliance, and driving digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities-
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth: Formulate and execute long-term corporate strategies to capture market share, expand product offerings, and drive deposit/investment mobilization across HNI and corporate segments.

Credit Risk & Financial Management: Take ownership of P&L, maintain Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) well below regulatory limits, enforce Board-approved credit policies, and manage treasury liquidity buffers.

Corporate Governance & CBN Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and statutory bodies, maintaining 100% compliance with prudential guidelines, reporting rules, and AML/CFT laws.

Operational Efficiency: Streamline back-office operations to improve Turnaround Time (TAT) for credit approvals, enhance customer experience, and enforce robust internal control environments.

Executive Leadership & Team Building: Mentor and retain a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of accountability, digital innovation, and ethical conduct.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. (An MBA, Master’s degree, or professional credentials like CFA, ACCA, ICAN, or CIS is highly preferred).

Experience: 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or the finance house sector, with a track record at senior executive or C-suite levels.

Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of corporate and SME credit structuring, treasury operations, CBN regulatory frameworks, and business development within the Lagos macroeconomic environment.

Compliance Record: Unblemished regulatory track record, capable of satisfying all CBN "fit and proper" person requirements.
