Project Lead

Adventure Capital Group—a venture capital and consulting firm active in Nigeria's FinTech ecosystem (and early investor in Gokada)—is recruiting an experienced Project Lead at its office in Maryland, Lagos.

This senior role is responsible for project governance, startup funding initiatives, investor/DFI engagement, business process re-engineering (BPR), data analytics, and cross-functional implementation.

• End-to-End Project Execution: Translate corporate strategy into project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers, and measurable business outcomes across financial, tech, and consulting projects.

• DFI & Investor Relations: Coordinate engagements with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), private equity investors, and funding partners; support grant applications, blended finance, and startup funding programs.

• Business Process Re-engineering (BPR): Audit existing workflows, design optimized business processes, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and implement digital transformation initiatives.

• Data Management & Reporting: Establish project tracking systems, analyze market/financial data, monitor KPIs/disbursements, and report to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, strategy consulting, business transformation, investment, or financial services.

• Key Competencies:

  • Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder projects and working with DFIs, funding agencies, or investment partners.

  • Deep expertise in business process optimization and data-driven reporting.

  • Proficiency with project management tools, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.

• Preferred Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or recognized credentials in Business Process Management / Change Management.
