About the Role Mota-Engil is recruiting a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to implement and administer reward and benefit policies, manage end-to-end payroll compliance, design competitive compensation structures, evaluate market benchmarks, and oversee staff tax, pension, HMO, and Group Life Insurance programs.
Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Compliance: Support timely staff payroll preparation, enforce checks and balances, manage employee tax matters, administer pension schemes, and ensure full compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.

Compensation & Benefits Design: Design, evaluate, and manage compensation structures; administer benefit schemes (HMO, Group Life, and Personal Accident Insurance); and coordinate annual salary, bonus, and new benefit processes.

Benchmarking & Analytics: Conduct salary and labor market research to establish competitive benchmarks, analyze internal equity, conduct periodic audits, and present reporting updates to the HR Manager – Payroll.

Employee Relations & Governance: Address queries and disputes regarding salary adjustments/increments and manage programs aimed at enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources, or an equivalent field. Minimum of 7 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 3 years in a specialized Compensation & Benefits role. Solid understanding of payroll and compensation concepts (job analysis, market pricing, total rewards), treasury knowledge, and strong quantitative and analytical skills. Extensive proficiency in MS Office and HRIS platforms (SAP HR & SuccessFactors).
Preferred Qualifications MBA, M.Sc, MA, or professional HR certifications (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD).
