About this role
Glovo—the Barcelona-based multi-category delivery startup—is recruiting a Head of Finance, Nigeria for its highest-volume business unit in the region, based in Lagos State. Operating as a 360-degree Market CFO, this role is responsible for serving as both the financial "Shield" (ensuring compliance, tax governance, and legal risk mitigation) and the strategic "Motor" (driving FP&A, commercial growth, budget modeling, and EBITDA expansion).

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote per week)

FP&A & Strategic Growth: Spearhead financial planning cycles, map paths to market profitability, and execute data-backed strategies to optimize top-line revenue and bottom-line EBITDA.

Financial Controlling & Audits: Oversee monthly closing reviews, financial provisions, and P&L variance analyses; serve as the primary interface for Big 4 external auditors.

Risk, Tax & Treasury: Manage local legal, regulatory, and tax compliance frameworks, while safeguarding cash flow, billing, and Accounts Payable (AP) workflows.

HQ & Executive Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with Global HQ finance leadership and local operational teams to translate complex market realities into actionable financial targets.

Experience: 5 to 10 years of solid experience across technical finance disciplines (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A).

Pedigree: Background combining Tier-1 Audit / Big 4 experience with at least 5 years of in-house corporate finance management.

Preferred Industry: High-growth tech scale-ups or multinational FMCG/Retail environments.

Core Competencies: P&L/EBITDA management, cross-functional operational understanding (logistics/marketing metrics), technical accounting defenses, and high-impact stakeholder communication.
