About the Role SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is recruiting a Cost Controller to support its project management systems in Nigeria. The role involves managing project budgets, CAPEX tracking, cost reporting, invoice/payment reconciliations, SAP tool management (UNISUP & U-Cost), and financial risk assessments across project portfolios.
Key Responsibilities

Project Management & System Building: Support the implementation of generic cost control templates, CAPEX tracking, invoice and payment status workflows, and annual budget updates in alignment with headquarters procedures.

Portfolio Cost Control & Reporting: Consolidate project reports into key budgeting activities, oversee implementation of Cost Control procedures and SAP tools (UNISUP & U-Cost), and prepare monthly cost estimates, trends, and partner/stakeholder updates.

Invoice Verification & Governance: Monitor approval functions for submitted invoices in compliance with contracts, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) workflows.

Risk & Financial Management: Identify high-level portfolio risks (cost overruns, contingencies) and opportunities, support contract variation assessments, and collaborate with Finance on payments, cash calls, and accounting integrations.

HSE Compliance: Participate in health, safety, and environmental initiatives, including safety committee meetings, permit-to-work protocols, and support for ISO 14001/45001 certifications.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years specifically in a Cost & Budget Lead or equivalent role. Proficiency in SAP HR/Finance tools (UNISUP & U-Cost), contract variation assessment, cost trend analysis, and SOX compliance. Professional fluency in English (C-level proficiency) and valid Medical Certificate authorization.
