Data Science Instructor

Lagos Data School (Mangrove Technologies Ltd)—a Pan-African learning center delivering professional training in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Workflow Automation—is recruiting a Data Science Instructor for its center in Ikeja, Lagos State. This instruction and mentorship role delivers structured lessons, guides hands-on technical projects, assesses student performance, and prepares professionals for real-world applications in applied AI and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction & Delivery: Prepare lesson plans and deliver on-site training sessions covering statistics, machine learning fundamentals, programming, and applied AI. 
• Practical Supervision & Mentorship: Oversee practical exercises, guide learners through real-world capstone projects, provide constructive feedback, and offer continuous academic mentorship. 
• Curriculum Alignment: Collaborate with the academic team to align course modules with AI industry standards and refine overall teaching methodologies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. 
• Core Technical Proficiencies: Hands-on expertise in data tools and programming languages including Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Advanced Excel, and standard machine learning libraries. 
• Mathematical Foundation: Firm grasp of core data science mathematics, including probability, linear algebra, and inferential statistics. 
• Pedagogical Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical/AI concepts into learner-friendly content with strong communication and presentation skills.
