Facility Manager

Pinefield Schools—a co-educational, multicultural Christian school operating on a 1.8-hectare campus in Lekki Phase 1—is recruiting a Facility Manager (Facilities Head) for its Lagos location. This operational campus management role leads preventive and corrective maintenance across school infrastructure, manages utilities (generators, power, water), supervises maintenance staff and cleaners, manages external contractors, and ensures health and safety standards for a child-friendly learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Campus Maintenance & Preventive Planning: Develop and execute structured preventive and corrective maintenance schedules across campus buildings, classrooms, electrical setups, plumbing, and playgrounds.

• Utility Management & Cost Control: Direct uninterrupted operations of electricity, water supply, and backup generator systems while monitoring resource utilization to reduce wastage and control operational budgets.

• Vendor & Service Provider Oversight: Negotiate contracts, supervise technical contractors, evaluate job quality, and manage vendor performance for external repairs and facility upgrades.

• Safety, Compliance & Event Readiness: Maintain strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, ensure emergency response systems are functional, and prepare campus venues for school events.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an A-list university with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (2:1) in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Environmental Management, or a related field.

• Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, building maintenance standards, vendor management, and reporting via MS Office.

• Core Competencies: Practical hands-on leadership, budget tracking, hazard detection, contractor supervision, safety consciousness, and alignment with the school's Christian ethos.
